Brian Atwood MANIAC Pumps are really making the most of their moment. It's easy to see why - their leg lengthening powers are almost magical.

and the oscar goes to . . .

I wasn't going to do an Oscar's post, because to be honest, I find the whole thing a bit much. I also tend to like my fashion a little less 'styled within an inch or your life' than what we see on the academy awards red carpet. However of course I still like to be in the know, so I was following this live blog by The Guardian Newspaper and laughed my way through the day. Have a read through - I dare you not to part with a chuckle.

For the record my pick for best dressed went to Camila Alves. She was a dream in her Kaufman Franco dress & statement jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz.

Just a few highlights from Miss Pucci's Fall Winter 2011 collection. I think the baroque style detail is just to die for!

dressed-up & down

I love a fashion juxtposition, and this sparkly striped sweater coupled with a pair of worn-in denim shorts is just the thing. Thumbs-up to the red lip & dishevelled hair combo, however I'd lose the pearls. But that's just me.

Zoe & Kerry, both in Dolce Gabbana, both working my fave looks from the 26th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards held in Santa Monica on Feb 26th. Zoe's bright Brian Atwood pumps literally pop off the screen with their zesty deliciousness!

lanvin love

The wedge, I've noticed, really lives up to its namesake. For something as frivolous as footwear, they fiercely divide opinion, driving a big ol' wedge between those that love them and those that really, really don't. I'm a bona fide lover, and this Lanvin pair have totally captured my heart.

whatta babe

I must find out who this is. So I may google stalk him, naturally. Pictured here backstage at the Loden Dager F/W 2011 show in NY, I also happen to really like this outfit. Boys take note: digging the ribbon bow tie, creamy soft suit and that his shirt remains untucked, proving that even under such a smart ensemble, this guy still knows how to have a good time. Those cheekbones don't hurt one bit either... Swoon...

who's that girl?

Introducing Sara Carbonero, Spanish TV presenter and sports journalist. Never heard of her? Me either. However with that face I'm sure she will be propelled into the stratosphere of superstardom in no time at all. The genetic lottery has managed to combine the beauty of Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and Aishwarya Rai into one unforgettable face. Watch this space.

Fresh off the plane from London Fashion week, Rachel Bilson looked stylish in a long sleeved striped tee at LAX. Her chic Chanel scarf looks positively cosy.

the club chair

I really, really want a club chair.

duckeggBLUE quintessential in Sydney has a lovingly hand-picked selection of authentic club chairs - both of the French & English variety. For a 'new that looks vintage' version, I have my eye on the Ralph Lauren Home Redmond Club Chair.

Redmond, I will purchase you. It's just a matter of time (and money).

we like to party

Smokin' in this black bandage style cut-out number, Lily Donaldson attended what has already been heralded as the 'party of the year' Another Magazine's tenth anniversary bash in London yesterday. Hosted by Kate Moss and Tilda Swinton (as if one wasn't enough), the night attracted some big names in fashion including Damien Hirst, Stella McCartney, Daphne Guinness, Kirsten Dunst, Phoebe Philo, Hussein Chalayan, and Natalie Massenet. Alexander Wang even broke ranks from his own party on the night celebrating his Love Magazine androgyny issue to see what all the fuss was about. Love's editor Katie Grand spoke to style.com just a few hours earlier, she said "Alex knows a thing or two about parties, and so do we." Well, so does Another's Jefferson Hack it would seem. I want to know just one thing, how do we get an invite?

angie's eyes

Ms Jolie-Pitt is a woman who knows what she likes. Rarely does she stray from this tried and tested make-up triumvirate - exaggerated winged-liner, false lashes, nude lips.

Bellasugar.com has broken down the crux of this look below, for those who may want to attempt it at home:

Size matters: Draw a thicker line along the top lash line, and a thinner one on the bottom. Also pay attention to this detail: The width of Angelina's eyeliner is thicker at the outer edges of her eyes, but it's barely visible near the "inner V." Ignore these guidelines only if you want to be an Alice Cooper doppelgänger. (No offense to Mr. Cooper, but that's not the look we're going for.)

The right stuff: Angelina is a longtime fan of Guerlain Terracotta loose powder eyeliner. It creates beautiful definition, but beginners may have a tough time with the wand applicator. If you're a newbie, try a gel-based eyeliner instead. I use MAC Fluidline with the #266 angled brush, and it's an easier place to start.

Smudge away: For a softer look like Angelina's, smudge the eyeliner. Also a good plan if you're a little clumsy, since it covers up mistakes.

Lash out: Applying individual false lashes at the outer corners of your eyes will amplify the look-at-me effect. In some cases I'm certain that AJ is actually wearing a full false lash strip. Try both and see what you prefer.

Per chance, if you've always wanted to know what she wears on those luscious lips, all was revealed at the recent Golden Globes 2011 when she was caught on film re-applying at her table. Her gloss of choice is Chantecaille Brilliant Gloss in Love, available at Mecca Cosmetica (when it finally comes back in stock).

Just a snippet of the style seen on the streets during New York & London Fashion Weeks. Seems to be all about the maxi, (faux?) fur, ankle boots and hats.
